Few people have probably heard of a phenomenon known rather morbidly as the widowmaker. Like so many tales, it originates from the dark and mysterious world of woods and forests. But it might just strike closer to home, especially if you have trees in your garden.

Common Box. A large evergreen shrub or small tree with dense masses of small dark green leaves that have a distinctive aroma. It takes well to clipping and topiary. Small, petalless flowers are produced in spring.
A medium to large evergreenshrub sometimes also called 'Buxus Aurea Maculata' Leaves are splashed and streaked with golden yellow. Like most Box Buxus Aureovariegata is quite happy if pot grown and makes a good individual specimen plant.
A super form similiar to Buxus Elegantissima but possibly slightly stronger variegation of the cream edged leaves.Buxus Silver Beauty makes a good specimen plant or equally good as a feature hedge or topiary.
A fine variegated form with striking cream silver variegation to the edges of the dark green leaves. Not commonly found in cultivation Buxus Sunningdale Silver from the famous garden of the same name. Makes a superb choice specimen for pot culture or inthe garden.
