ALMOND INGRID

Almond Ingrid is is considered to be one of the most reliable croppers in the Almond family. It looks stunning in all gardens with its outstanding shades of pink to white blossom in the spring. The nuts or “drupes” can form up to 6cm in length creating delicious nuts inside the skin and be ready for harvesting in late September to early October. Almond Ingrid is reasonably resistant to leaf curl in most areas. Almond Ingrid is self fertile but you can increase your yield by planting more than one.

Our Almond Ingrid bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the almond trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
