BEAUTY OF BATH APPLE
Beauty of Bath is probably one of the most famous early English Apples, it is packed full of flavour and has a distinctive sharp taste. The apple has a rich, rosy colouring flushed across the green textured skin making it look incredibly desirable. Apple Beauty of Bath tastes outstanding when picked directly from the tree and works extremely well as a cooking apple, making it quite a sort after dual purpose apple.
Apple Beauty of Bath was commercially grown in Victorian England due to its early ripening and proven reputation as a heavy cropper. It later became fazed out as imported apples started coming in. Apple Beauty of Bath is one of England’s definitive early season apples and rightly remains a very popular garden apple.
Our Beauty of Bath bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.
Available in economy and premium selection
Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
