COURT PENDU PLAT APPLE

Court Pendu Plat is one of the oldest apples still in present day cultivation. Court Pendu Plat was introduced to this country from France around 1613. It was a popular apple during Victorian times. Court Pendu Plat is an apple of intriguing characteristics, difficult to define with flesh neither hard or soft nor in between, neither juicy or too dry and with a unique flavour that is strong and fruity and which mellows by Christmas to a sweetness with a hint of pineapple. Even the shape of the apple is different to most, being rather flat in outline. a bit like a chunky doughnut. Greenish yellow flesh with attractive red and orange flush. Pick in October and keeps well into February.

Our Apple Court Pendu Plat bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
