EMNETH EARLY (EARLY VICTORIA) APPLE

Emneth Early is also known as Early Victoria. Once very popular in the commercial fruit growing areas in north Cambridgeshire. Raised by a William Lynn in a village just outside Wisbech around 1899. Emneth Early makes a medium sized early, yellow green skinned culinary apple with an excellent flavour and as part of its name suggest is a very early cooker ready for picking by mid August. White sharp flesh high in vitamin C. Cambridgeshire C.1899

Our Apple Emneth Early bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
