LADY'S FINGER APPLE
Ladys Finger was a collective name used for a number of elongated apples found from Somerset Lancashire and beyond. Our Heritage variety apple Ladys Finger originates from Herefordshire in the 1800's used in cooking as well as making a good cider variety. Distinctly oval shaped, green skinned with occasional red flush, creamy yellow coarse dry flesh and a strong, sharp but rich flavour. Stores and keeps well until February.
Our Apple Ladys Finger bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.
Available in economy and premium selection
Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
