NORFOLK ROYAL APPLE

Norfolk Royal is a very attractive exhibition variety with a shiny crimson and yellow skin. Found as a chance seedling at North Walsham. Introduced in 1928 and soon well known in East Anglia. Crisp, juicy and sweet. Also cooks well.

Our Apple Norfolk Royal bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.
