CALL

Common Crab Apple. This native small tree has pink-white flowers in spring, followed by red-flushed yellow-green fruits. Makes excellent Crab Apple Jelly.

Douglas fir Tree - Pseudotsuga menziesii

A large evergreen coniferous tree which in its native habitat grows to250 tall. The bark on lower branches is corky and furrowed

An outstanding, attractive choice for any native, rustic hedgerows. A deciduous tree with leaves that turn a beautiful butter yellow in the autumn. Easy to grow in most soil types and conditions.

Hawthorn Tree - Crataegus monogyna

Needs little introduction. The backbone to many of our native hedgerows. Also known as May or Whitethorn. Masses of scarlet red berries in autumn which are a good source of vitamin.

Holly Tree - Ilex aquifolium

Beautiful and easy to grow, makes an excellent single specimen or grow as a hedge well known prickly foliage and red berries. Plant at least three to ensure berry production.

Hornbeam Tree - Carpinus betulus

The Common Hornbeam is a classic native hedgerow plant which retains its russet coloured leaves through most of the winter. Often used in place of Beech, especially on heavy soils.
