"Thanks for helping us find the plants we were looking for - and a few more that caught our eyes besides - amongst the great and varied selection on your nursery. We are very pleased with the plants and will doubtless be back for more. Good value all round.

- Mr Wheatley

I recently bought an Ilex Verticillata from you and just wanted to say I was very impressed with your service from the email update of stock availability to packaging of the plant and delivery. Thank you.

Garrya elliptica

A superb evergreen shrub festooned early in the New Year with silvery tassles. Looks best when lit by winter sun, but quite happy in a shady spot.

Garrya elliptica James Roof

A very desirable form of this well known and spectacular shrub with its extra long silvery catkins during February and March. Originated as a seedling from California.

Not commonly found in cultivation which is a shame as this easy to grow evergreen shrub has attractive long flower tassles like the other species but with a more ivory and pink colouration. Grows to about 9 to 10ft.

Garrya thurretti

Garrya thuretii makes a good wall shrub or backdrop excellent for screenin with its large dark evergreen leaves along with the usual attractive catkins in spring.
