A plant of many names and forms including H. corsicus, leathery toothed evergreenish leaves from which appear lovely pale jade green leaves with a pinky plum flush

Helleborous niger


Christmas Rose, a really lovely site during late winter when the pure white flowers with golden stamens appear above the evergreen foliage, best grown in slightly damp and shady spots.


A more robust form of the Christmas Rose, which grows to a larger size and has larger flowers than the species.


Well known and keenly sought after with as many different named forms as there are colours and flower shapes

Helleborous sternii


A very attractive cross including H. corsicus and H. lividus in its parentage where the qualities of both can be seen. Intriguing rosy green flowers produced on branching stems in great profusion from late January on.


Saucer shaped white, pink, green or smoky purple flowers with large leathery, evergreen leaves.


Forms neat clumps of Anemone Red flowers with central ruffled petals.
