Honey Pippin was raised by Justin Brooke in the 1950ís and introduced by a nursery near Newmarket in Suffolk. Presented to the National Fruit Collection in 1981. Named Honey Pippin to reflect the sweet honeyed taste with a strong accent of Cox Orange Pippin flavour. More conical in shape and less troubled by disease than the true Cox apple. Good cropper producing medium sized yellow green fruits with orange red flush. Flesh is creamy yellow with a crisp and juicy bite.
