Itea illicifolia


A real favorite of mine, this evergreen bushy shrub, similar to Garrya elliptica, has stunning long catkin-like fragrant apple-green flowers which hang in tassles in late summer. Introduced from central China.

Itea virginica Henry's Garnet


A lovely small shrub ideally sited against a wall for some support long fragrant creamy white flowers, foliage turns good deep shades of garnet in autumn.


Fragrant white panicle flowers in June, with a compact habit and burgundy foliage in autumn.
