“You only want to plant a hedge once so buy the best and invest in quality English grown plants”

Oregon Grape - This small shrub grows to 3ft tall and is excellent beneath trees or in a shady position, but will also do well in sun. Yellow flowers March - April, followed by blue / black berries. Any soil type.

Our container grown Oregon Grape hedge plants are English grown from genuine English origin stock in our own special 100% peat free compost. This produces plants with their own established root system for a higher degree of transplanting success. Although more expensive than bare root, our container grown Oregon Grape hedge plants are often older and larger giving you a more established looking hedge sooner. They also have the advantage of being able to be planted all year round. Some suppliers use the word “native” to describe their Oregon Grape plants but this does not necessarily mean that they are English grown or of English origin. Many are imported from continental Europe. As growers with over 40 years of growing experience we are happy to pass on our knowledge and advice. Don’t compromise on quality. When you want the best choose quality English grown, English origin Oregon Grape from Botanica.
