"My Belle de Boskoop apple tree arrived safe and well and I am delighted with it. It was very well protected for its journey and is now planted in the ground."
- Liz Heydon
As the common name suggests, this is a bamboo-like shrub. The erect, branchless stems hold large compound leaves which become tinged red-purple in spring and autumn. In mid summer it produces long panicles of small white flowers.
Though looking much like a small bamboo this actually belongs to the Berberis family of shrubs. This form has the benefit of good autumn colourings of orange and reds. Perfectly hardy here in Suffolk.
As the name suggests a charming small version of the 'Sacred bamboo' and with all the benefits of colour.
An evergreen shrub that is hardy and robust. Foliage is green throughout summer with new growth appearing light green, almost yellow in colour.
A strong growing form of this Bamboo look alike. Regularily produces an abundance of shiny red berries that stay on throughout winter
