Traditional French variety, good productivity, excellent nut quality and flavour, terminal bearer. Franquette makes a strong growing tree. Only partly self-fertile best pollinated with walnut Broadview. Early into fruit production only 3 to 5 years. A very useful late season variety, with thin shelled nuts of good size. Enjoyable eaten fresh or good for pickling/culinary use.

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
