This form of Cercis has the most appropriate name, Cercis canadensis Hearts of Gold describes the leafs on this Cercis so well it is hard to say much more than, the golden heart shaped leafs and the purple pink pea like purple flowers which appear before the leaves in spring make this one of the best trees for a small area.

Cercis canadensis Hearts of Gold grows to make a shrubby tree to around 10m tall and by about the same wide, they are best planted in a sheltered spot for the best effect.
