Crataegus puntata Aurea is quite rare in cultivation and not often offered for sale. Makes a good sized tree masses of white blossom in late spring early summer.
Very similar in outward appearance to C. laciniata making an equally small tree of rounde habit and deeply cut grey gren foliage and differing by its larger and dark purple red fruits
Cydonia cathayensis was introduced to Britain around 1800 Makes an attractive medium sized shrub with masses of pale pink blossom in April followed by medium to large round pear shaped golden yellow fruits.
Slender drooping branches clothed in small narrow bronze green leaves forming an attractive spiralling pattern on older trees. Makes a small tree but only suitable for a sheltered spot
A classic plant collectors plant. This not often found plant makes an imposing large shrub with bold pinnate foliage. In atumn eye catching large clusters of ruby red and lime green circular seeds appear.
