Captain Kidd Apple

Apple Captain Kidd is a wonderful eating apple with excellent flavour and a sweet and juicy texture. Attractive bright red streaks over a light green skin; the creamy white flesh is crisp and crunchy. A great alternative to a Cox.

Caroline Apple

Caroline produces a medium sized green apple with pink to red stripes. Crisp and firm fleshed. Flavour is good and sweet. It keeps well up to the end of January. Named Caroline in 1820 after the wife of Lord Suffield and grown in Blickling Hall gardens in Norfolk.


Chivers Delight produces an attractive medium sized late apple. Golden skinned with red flush and stripes on one side. Good crops of round, sweet, honeyed flavoured juicy fruit with a nice crunch to it. Bred in 1920 by Stephen Chivers, one of the famous Chivers jams and preserves family of Histon, Cambridgeshire. Stores well keeping its texture and crispness. An all round easy to grow and first rate apple that should be better known.

Crispin Apple


Apple Crispin is of Japanese origin called Mutsu in 1930 and renamed in this country in 1968. Firm sweet juicy flesh with a crispness that perfectly reflects its name. Skin green turning golden yellow with more than a passing resemblance to Golden Delicious which indeed was one of its parents, but perhaps with a little more sophisticated taste.

Jupiter Apple

A classic good looking apple, yellow skin with orange flush and red streaks. Apple Jupiter is a relatively recent introduction from the 1960s, bred at the famous East Malling Research Station in Kent. Produces a Cox style flavoured apple, a little more robust and tangy in taste than the typical Cox.

Kidds Orange Red Apple

Often found in supermarkets and sold as a Cox apple. The fruit of Kidds Orange Red have a bright orange red flush on its skin with occasional slight russeting. Thin skinned with a crisp bite and cream yellow coloured flesh that releases the delicious flavour that is some bit sweeter than Cox. A reliable cropper without too many problems make Kidds Orange Red a good choice which keeps well until the New Year

Apple Queen Cox is an aromatic, self-fertile clone of Cox's Orange Pippin. It became recognised in the 1950s and originated in Berkshire. It is reputed to be a more reliable cropper than Coxs orange pippin, having the same benefits and tastes, but with more colour and more aromatic flavour than the original

Ribstone Pippin Apple
