"Aldeburgh Beach Apple arrived safely yesterday but am waiting for storm to pass before heeling it in. Delighted to have this for very sentimental reasons and it is No. 18 and the last to finish off my old variety orchard. Don't know if this is an old variety but it represents Aldeburgh for me so is very special and also fulfils Her Majesty's wish that everyone plant a tree for her Platinum Jubilee. "I just wanted to drop you a line to say a massive thank you to Team Botanica. You inadvertently played a big part in our day last Friday - when we had to say goodbye to my father-in-law. From the advice on the birch we wanted as a memorial tree, then accommodating my request for delivery/planting on the afternoon of the funeral, to the actual planting with our family. Graham and Luke who came for the planting of both the beautiful birch and the fruit trees were absolutely lovely. So respectful and mindful of the tone of our day, and just really fabulous to deal with. Suggesting the kids put some of the soil on was wonderful. Please thank them both very much from all of us. Thanks also to Jane for sorting our lovely fruit trees, they are great. We look forward to seeing them bloom and then coming out to Botanica when you re-open to get things for the rest of the garden. "We bought 7 bare rooted privet plants from you on Friday afternoon. Sadly we didn’t know about Botanica before so had ordered hedging from Hedges Direct. After needing a few more plants you were recommended by the The Walled Garden Nursery. I just want to pass on our thanks for the quality of your plants. They were more expensive but the quality was outstanding in comparison with our other bare root hedging. Our only regret is that we didn’t get all the plants from you. Thankfully this is only the beginning of our garden renovation project so we will definitely be visiting again when the restrictions finally lift"
