APRICOT EARLY MOORPARK

Apricot Early Moorpark is an outstanding variety, it is the most popular variety of apricot planted in the UK, Early Moorpark produces wonderful crops of fresh yellow fruits with an orange blush on the sunny side. These apricot fruits are very juicy and sweet which are delicious straight off the tree and being self fertile they produce reliable crops year after year.

The Apricot Early Moorpark can be harvested in late July to early August, they particularly like, as all soft fruits do, a sunny spot with some protection from the elements. It is primarily used as an eating apricot but it can be used for most culinary purposes. The history of the Apricot Early Moorpark is said to have originated from the Herts in the mid 18th century.

Our Apricot Early Moorpark bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
