HONEYBERRY (LONICERA CAERULEA KAMTSCHATICA)

Honeyberry is an edible form of the honeysuckle with fruits similar in taste and size to blueberries but much easier to grow. The fruits hang on the underside of the branches looking little like tiny blue cowbells.

The Honeyberry flowers in late winter to very early spring. The berry is then ready to eat between late-spring and early-summer and contains high levels of vitamins and minerals making these very good for your health.

Honeyberries can also be used as a herbal remedy to treat a range of cardiovascular diseases and much more. A mixture of flowers and leaves can be used to treat diseases of the mouth and throat as well as cure skin diseases and burns.
