FIESTA (RED PIPPIN) APPLE

Fiesta, sometimes called Red Pippin is easily found on the supermarket shelf it is still worthy of a place in any collection of apple trees for its comparative ease of growing and very good disease resistance. Regarded as a modern apple, Fiesta was bred at the East Malling Research centre in Kent in 1972. Lovely crisp white flesh with more than a passing hint of Cox apple flavour, skin is a perfect mix of green with orange and red streaks and flecks giving Fiesta the classic apple look. Stores reasonably well but tends to loose its ‘sparkle’ as time goes on.

Our Apple Fiesta bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
