HEDERA HELIX

Hedera helix is the native common English Ivy, perfect as an evergreen climber for coving walls and a great plant for wildlife and the natural landscape. A very adaptable plant which will grow either as ground cover or as a climber, and very useful for places where other plants simply will not grow.

Being a naturally occurring native plant there can be considerable variation in leaf colour shape and vigour. Hedera helix is the parent of numerous of named varieties

It is a valuable plant for wildlife, recommended by the RSPB, particularly for providing berries for birds in winter when most others have been eaten. Many insects also feed on the nectar of its white flowers. A host plant for the Holly Blue butterfly.

Available in economy and premium selection

Economy - rooted into its pot but a further season before moving up a pot size.
Premium - more growth in its pot. More mature than Economy
